A Giveaway!

I noticed last week that I had just reached my 50th blog post, at the same time, I had just gained my 50th and 51st follower.  I decided that was a sign from above and a giveaway was in order!  I wanted to thank those people who choose to read and support me in this journey.  Thanks to you for all your encouragement, support and honesty.

This is not a sponsored giveaway.  I am paying for the item myself and will pay for the cost of shipping to the winner.  Everyone can enter, regardless of location.  Assuming of course your country doesn't find it illegal for me to mail you a book from the US ;)

I have been working on my cooking skills, and hunting for easy, ingredient friendly, healthy recipes that I can make easily at home during the week.  I came across this book at my local grocery store and instantly fell in love it.  It has been one of my best impulse buys in history.

This is The Best of Clean Eating cookbook from Clean Eating magazine.  What I love about this cookbook:
  •  Clean Eating - The concept itself!  I needed to get away from those processed foods and learn how to cook with real fruit and veggies.  I am still a novice at food prep, and need some guidance on what foods complement each other and break out of my shell and try new foods.
  • The Pictures - There are pictures all over this cookbook and each one makes my mouth water.
  • Sections - The cookbook is broken into sections - quick meals, budget friendly, holiday, etc.
  • 200 recipes - There are over 200 recipes in this book, all editors choices, best of the best from Clean Eating magazine, in one softcover, book. There is a great variety and I look forward to trying them all.
The rules are simple:
  • Follow my blog and leave a comment about telling me about your favorite cookbook.
  • You can post this giveaway on your blog, and leave another comment letting me know you did.
I am going to keep the giveaway open until Midnight, Thursday, May 5th. (US Pacific time)  The winner will be chosen via's Random Number Generator and posted on Friday, May 6th.

Thanks for participating!  Good luck :)

  1. Ha, I looooove cookbooks! Only yesterday we finally got a shelf reserved only for my recipe collection... and when I reorganized the books, it was 3/4 filled!

My favorite cookbook is a German one, translation of the title is "The Sleaze's Cookbook" - with lots of really quick go-to recipes for unexpected visitors and spontaneous get-togethers. The recipes are not really low-cal, but I love the idea.

And congratulations on all your followers!

  2. I like the Joy of Cooking! It is my go to book of knowledge. Thanks for the opportunity and congrats on the 50+ followers

  3. my favorite cookbooks are the ones my mom used to get back when i was in, like, elementary school. you know, those cookbooks the PTA moms all put together and then sell for fundraising and stuff. We have some from WAY BACK WHEN but there are tons of great recipes.

  4. Okay so my odds are looking pretty good right now and I would LOVE to have this cookbook! My favourite cookbook right now though is actually my iFood app on my phone from Kraft. Tons of good, simple ideas!

  5. I don't have a favorite cookbook, but this one looks amazing. I've been wanting to find recipes that are better for you. Oh, and I follow now!

  6. I'm already a follower of your blog. I'll admit, though, that I'm a bit of a cookbook / cooking magazine addict. I love to cook and I love to try new recipes. One of my favorites is the Rachael Ray vegetarian cookbook (one of her first).

I posted about your contest on my blog! You can find it here: Clean Eating Cookbook Giveaway

    Goodbye, Fat Girl!
    Confessions Of A Momma

  7. My favourite cookbook is "The Student Vegetarian Cook Book". While I'm not 100% vegetarian I do try to limit meat to no more than once a week. I love it because it assumes you're fairly incompetent in the kitchen and gives lots of handy tips and doesn't require tons of equipment. The recipes are easy, delicious and cheap as well as fairly quick.

  8. I guess my favorite cookbook would be the Hungry girl cookbook

  9. I love to read cookbooks like novels before I actually use them...I'm crazy like that. My favourite right now is The New Weight Watchers Cookbook.

Clean Eating is my favourite magazine though :)

  10. I follow on gfc.

I like the gluten-free almond flour cookbook.

  12. Congrats on 50 followers!! Glad to say I'm one of them :-)

My favorite cookbook is definitely the Hungry Girl cookbooks!! They make cooking so easy &'s hard not to fall in love with her recipes!

  13. HI there, new to your blog! I'm now a follower, and my favorite cookbook is probably the Pampered CHef's All the best cookbook. I love to use all the funny gadgets that they have to make these crazy dishes. =)

  14. Clean Eating is a great magazine. I haven't seen this cookbook, but I'm sure it's wonderful. I have several favorite cookbooks, but one I always go back to is The Moosewood Cookbook. It's full of great recipes. I have the original and the updated edition but use mostly the newer one.

  15. My favorite cookbook is kind of an odd choice. I have never made anything from it but it is my favorite because my mother in law got it for my first b-day as her daughter in law and it was printed in my birth month and year I was born!
It is a campbell's soup casseroles book. I am just so tickeled she took the time to hunt it down!

  16. This cookbook looks great. I am always looking for recipes for good, simple meals I can make for my family and myself.

My favorite cookbooks are the ones I have from family reunions. They are full of the meals I have grown to love while growing up and I love having those recipes (& memories) at my fingertips.
